Saturday is always a day packed with action on Betfair. This week, especially so. We have decent racing on ITV, and then four World Cup games to get through.
You’re going to be pulled in every direction today, so just make sure to pick out the best opportunities and stick to them. Don’t get sucked into anything outside your trading plan. I’m gonna keep today brief because it’s such a busy day!
The World Cup schedule for today is;
- Tunisia v Australia 10am
- Poland v Saudi Arabia 1pm
- France v Denmark 4pm
- Argentina v Mexico 7pm
Tunisia v Australia Trading Options 10 am
Liquidity should be good here because it’s the start of the day, and it doesn’t clash with anything. It’s a low-grade match though in fairness. Australia got hammered by France and Tunisia battled hard for a draw against Denmark. I’d fancy Tunisia here, but they look woefully short at 2.16. Tunisia are rock solid at the back, and I’d be targeting the early Under 2.5 goals trade here but I’m keeping the stakes small because I have no trust for Australia.
Poland v Saudi Arabia Trading Options 1 pm
Saudi Arabia shocked us all with a win over Argentina! That’s thrown things open but I do feel they will completely sit back here. A draw would put them in a decent position, and surely that will be their sole aim here. Despite scoring twice against Argentina, their xG was low, and they were two wonder goals. I’d expect them to defend, defend, defend here. That gives us a good opportunity to trade Under 2.5 goals early, and scalp the draw at a later stage too. Poland are bang average in my opinion and struggle to score. This game screams unders to me.
France v Denmark Trading Options 4 pm
I went into the first French game waiting to see what happened, and everything happened, lol! They went 1-0 down and then banged in four goals. Denmark didn’t create much against Tunisia but I don’t have the confidence to take an early Under 2.5 goals trade here. Nothing from the Football Course strategies stand out, looking at the match-up. This is a game to skip for me.
Argentina v Mexico Trading Options 7 pm
The pressure on Argentina now must be intense. I think they’ll have problems here too. Mexico will play for a draw, but do we want to risk backing/trading unders with Argentina involved? Argentina can’t just attack from the start knowing another loss likely puts them out. I think reduce stakes, and trade Unders early – get out by the 20th minute.
Sorry for the quicker blog today, but loads on ahead of a busy day!
