Perfect start?
It’s been a long year, so it’s about time I did this…
I’ve tried to stop myself from going holiday crazy this year, in previous years I haven’t held back. So a cheeky gift to myself for Christmas won’t hurt, will it?
I just booked up to go snowboarding in France in the new year. It’s always a bit hit-and-miss with snowfall, unless you book up a week before but I thought sod it.
When a friend recently said they were game I thought it’d be rude not to!
Increasing the odds…
Timing was a little tight with the time they could get off work so we thought it’d be best to increase the chances of some quality powder. After a little googling it was pretty obvious we needed somewhere with altitude.
So in January we’re off to France, with a 3 Valleys lift pass in Val Thorens… it should be a blast!
I haven’t been there before so it’s into the unknown, the write-ups suggest it’s the best place we could go. I sincerely hope the snow is like this video I found of the resort on YouTube:
I’ve treated myself to a new GoPro too, so im sure there’ll be some footage afterwards.
Christmas Markets…
It’s hard, particularly if you have a young family. But there will be some great markets over the festive period to trade! In my opinion, new years day is often over-rated. Quantity doesn’t necessarily mean quality…
That said, if you just make a small amount, scalping race-for-race, it’ll soon add up!
If I don’t post up again before Christmas day, have a good one!!
If anyone’s been before, drop us a comment below!

I can vouch for Val Thorens Caan……….great runs and high enough up to give the best chance of snow. A compact friendly place as well.
Great! Just what I wanted to hear!!!
I love the 3 valleys too. My brother and I are going to Les Deux Alpes at the end of Jan. Looking forawd to it
great stuff. Just seen a 28cm dump predicted on the day I travel… excited!
