1. Most Reliable – Andy Holding (Horse Racing Tips)
Let’s start off with the most well known name on the list, Andy Holding is a respected name in the world of horse racing betting and heads the team of tipsters available with “Oddschecker Unlimited”. He also has his own Speed Figures rating site, which is a paid subscription site.
In 2023, Holding made a profit of 34.96 points and 160 points profit in 2024 according to Oddschecker. Unfortunately, there are no detailed results available on the website to look at average odds bets and staking amounts, etc. There are, however, some third party sites that have tracked his results and reported profits totaling 76 points for the second half of 2024.
Selections are released at 8:30 AM, a time when horse racing markets are typically weaker. As a result, the quoted odds can shift rapidly. This often poses a challenge for those restricted by bookmakers or reliant solely on betting exchanges, as they will struggle to match on the initial odds quoted. That said, Andy Holding stands out as a consistently successful horse racing tipster and is widely regarded as one of the top experts on the Oddschecker platform.
2. Ginger Joe (Horse racing and Golf)
Ginger Joe is a golf and horse racing tipster that is quoted to have made +212 points in profit for the 2024 season. He also tips over at Betting.co.uk and runs his own Youtube channel called the “Ginger Joe Sports Show “. Similar to Andy Holding’s results, a detailed record is unfortunately not available to be found on the Oddschecker website.
The lack of an easily accessible detailed results sheet is always a concern as we have noted in previous tipster reviews. Ginger Joe does however seem to have a solid reputation as a winning tipster across a number of websites, which overall makes his addition to the Oddschecker tipster team a positive one.
3. Mark O’Haire (Football)
Next up we have tipster that focuses on a sport other than horse racing and that is the well-respected Mark O’ Haire. Mark is a tipster that has a very good reputation in the industry, and also tips for the likes of Matchbook, alongside running his own site we love betting.
We love betting premium is a subscription group that Mark O’Haire runs, which has shown to be profitable year after year. This does add to his credentials as a long-term profitable football tipster.
O’Haire is one of the tipsters that gives out free selections via Oddschecker. Whilst Mark does have a reputation as a good tipster these selections are not tracked, which makes it difficult to know whether they are profitable long term or not. He is also featured in the Oddschecker Unlimited membership where he gives out early value selections.
4. Steve Ryder (Horse Racing)
Steve Ryder has been a member of the Oddschecker team since 2021, delivering free tips to a wide audience. His performance in 2022 was impressive, with a reported profit of 139.58 points. However, there is no mention of his results for 2023 and 2024, leaving some uncertainty about his recent performance. While some of Steve’s selections are exclusively available to Oddschecker Unlimited members, he also shares free tips for more popular races.
According to Steve Ryder’s Twitter account, he has made a profit of +223.71 over the last 4-year period (2021- 2025). Which would have him profiting on average 55.75 points a year. What is not clear however, is the time selections are sent, odds availability with bookmakers and other key factors that potential subscribers need to know.
5. Architect’s Tips (Horse Racing)
The Architect is one of the free tipsters offered by the Oddschecker platform. He is a horse racing writer and tipster with several years of experience. There are no quoted results for this tipster, perhaps due to the fact that his selections are sent out for free. They are designed to send Oddschecker readers to sign up with bookmakers with links attached to each selection.
This always makes these types of breakdowns slightly dubious due to the fact Oddschecker are profiting from losing customers they refer. Which in turn means that sending out profitable selections isn’t in their interest. Overall, it is hard to weigh up whether the Architect is winning or losing tipster due to the lack of results documented.
Should You Follow Oddschecker Tipsters?
Oddschecker has done an excellent job of partnering with some of the most reputable names in sports betting. Many of their featured tipsters boast impressive long-term winning records and have proven to be profitable. However, a significant issue lies in the lack of detailed records for the tipsters they showcase, whether for free picks or the paid “Oddschecker Unlimited” membership.

For a tipster service to be truly credible, there should be a complete and transparent record of every individual bet placed, including the odds available at bookmakers at the time. Without this level of detail, it’s difficult to evaluate the true effectiveness of any tipster. Compounding this concern is the fact that Oddschecker operates as a bookmaker affiliate, meaning they profit from the losses of the players they refer. This creates a potential conflict of interest, as providing consistently profitable free tips may not align with their financial incentives.
Until Oddschecker makes tipster results fully transparent, it’s wise to approach their tips with caution. Perhaps a good strategy would be to monitor their bets against closing odds, as this can help determine whether a tipster truly has a sustainable edge in the market.
