First up, a popular name in the mid to late two thousands – Adam Heathcote. He was a Betfair trader who gained widespread recognition for his remarkable achievement in the horse racing markets. The progress was regularly documented on his personal blog – at the time, it attracted the attention of the sports betting community.

Many couldn’t understand why he stopped updating when he did – it’s believed that he went on to pursue his real passion as a business owner in the health and wellness sector.

Peter Webb: The Computer Salesman Turned Software Developer
Next is Peter Webb, a former computer salesman at Compaq. He’s more widely known as the business owner behind Bet Angel, the trading software.
Shortly after Betfair’s launch in 2000, he positioned himself as a trader on the betting exchanges. Undoubtedly he has poured a large part of his life into trading the betting exchanges and selling his software subscriptions at £29.99 per month. On YouTube alone, you will see more than 1,000 videos where he pitches it.
The software business has been a savvy move for Peter Webb with more than 10,000 software users on the exchanges every month. Peter Webb’s net worth isn’t exactly clear although The Sun newspaper reported that he has made more than £1 million trading over the last 20 years.

Paulo Rebelo – The In-Play Betting Specialist
This highly respected Portuguese Betfair trader is renowned for his expertise in in-play betting. He started with a relatively small bankroll and steadily grew it by focusing on live events, where the odds fluctuate in real time. His ability to read the game as it unfolds and make quick, informed decisions has made him one of the most successful in-play traders on the platform.
Rebelo’s strategy centres around analysing live football matches and reacting to the changes in odds during the game.
Unlike traditional pre-match traders, Rebelo thrives on the unpredictability of live sports. Sharp instincts allow him to exploit opportunities that others often miss, capitalizing on market overreactions to events like goals, injuries, or red cards.

Psychoff first rose to fame in the 2010s, when Betfair trading became more accessible to a wider audience. Today, Ersen Guven remains a low-profile figure, although it is believed that he still actively trades on Betfair. Adam Todd – A Unique Character From The Trading Pits
Adam Todd is a former pit trader who transitioned to Betfair trading after leaving the financial industry. He also had a hand in early trading software which helped him gain an edge in trading.
Todd found his feet back when things began. In fact, he pioneered the way for trading software. During a period when Betfair trading was becoming more popular, he would trade the market momentum on the lead up to the start of an event. Typically he focused on horse racing markets although he was known to trade others too. A larger-than-life character with a great sense of humour some of his early Betfair trading videos on YouTube are worth a watch – it would appear he doesn’t take life too seriously.
Caan Berry – From Bullets to Betfair Trading
Berry started trading on Betfair with a focus on horse racing and later expanded into football markets. His mix of scalping and swing trading techniques have earned him consistent profits, and he has become well-known for sharing his knowledge with others through this blog, YouTube channel, and educational courses.
